Internet Explorer 6 Certificate Import

We don't suggest using Internet Explorer for reading email, as it has proven to have a number of security bugs over the years. However, you may find yourself needing to use IE6, so here is the procedure.

When you first click on the CMRR webmail link, you will be given a security warning:

You can click OK to temporarily accept the certificate and proceed. To permanently accept the certificate, click on View Certificate.

Now click on Install Certificate..., and the Certificate Import wizard will start.

Click Next.

Click Next.

Click Finish.

Double-check the "thumbprint" against this web page, then click Yes.

Click OK. You will be back at the general certificate information tab. Click OK, and then on the original security alert click Yes to proceed.

That's it! You only have to do this once for each certificate. Now your browser will trust CMRR webserver for secure communications.
