Postdoctoral Researcher - High Field Breast MRI/MRS
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA
The University of Minnesota's Center for Magnetic Resonance Research
(http://www.cmrr.umn.edu) is
expanding their high-field body imaging and spectroscopy program. We
have a growing core of faculty, staff, and students developing and
testing methods for body MRI/MRS in a number of organ systems, including
breast, liver, prostate, MSK, and heart. Our facilities include three
whole-body human systems: a Siemens 32-channel Tim Trio 3T scanner, a 4
T Varian/Oxford/Siemens scanner, and a 7T Siemens with 16 transmit and
32 receive channels. We have extensive facilities and experience in
developing sequences, hardware, coils, and RF modeling in support of
these body projects.
We are currently seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on methods
for high-field breast MR imaging and spectroscopy with Dr. Patrick Bolan
and colleagues. We have several ongoing projects developing new pulse
sequences, analysis techniques, and performing clinical trials for
monitoring response to breast cancer therapies on our 3T, 4T, and 7T
systems. The primary focus of this position is to develop and test MR
spectroscopy pulse sequences and analysis tools for the Siemens
platform.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field.
- experience in developing MR pulse sequences
- programming experience with Matlab or IDL
- a record of publication and/or conference proceedings
Preferred Qualifications of this position:
